Believers are children of light and are commanded to therefore walk in the light.

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.

                       Walk as children of light.

                                               Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV Strong’s)

We know that walking in the light means doing what we know. When we see a truth from God’s word, we do it, we live by that truth, we live according to the word of God because His word is light.

Walking in the light however, is not just that. It is also believing and not doubting the truth of God revealed to us through the Spirit and the word. Walking in the light means that despite the pain  or lack of physical manifestation of the things we believe God for we don’t stop believing and doubt and yield to worry, anxiety and fear. The moment we did, we stepped out of the light.

What we have not truly grasped, is that there is only one alternative to light and it is darkness. If we reject or neglect or stepped out of light, there is no neutral place where we’re not in the light but  not in darkness either! It’s either light or darkness.

Jesus said of John

35 He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing

for a time to rejoice in his light.

                                                                 John 5:35 (NKJV Strong’s)

He was referring to their willingness to believe John. Believing the word is to rejoice in its light, to walk in it.  That’s why Jesus said

36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of

light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.

                                                                                  John 12:36 (NKJV Strong’s)

46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should

not abide in darkness. John 12:46 (NKJV Strong’s)

Believe in the light! Believe and not walk in darkness.

Do you remember Jesus saying to his disciples that the light of the body is the eye? Lets look at that in Luke 11:34-36

34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”

The word ‘good’ in verse 34 is the Greek work “haplous” and it means single, as opposed to divided, double (duo, doubt). When the eye is single, focused on only one thing, not divided — that is believing and not doubting, the whole body is full of light, having no dark part. Praise God! When we do take heed as vs 35 says and do not allow ourselves to despair and doubt we are full of the light of God’s word and there is no dark part in us. That brings us to a place of manifestation, where everyone can see that we are  walking in the manifested light of God’s word because we have walked in the light of that word long before now!

Next time you find yourself thinking ”I’m not sure what to do” Do this, walk in the light, stay in the light, because for the believer our path is the path of light

   Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV Strong’s)

18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun,

That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Stay on the path, don’t court darkness, don’t play with it. In thoughts, in emotions and in heart stay in the light and in His light you will see light(manifestation). Remember, No dark part.
